About New Muslim Essentials
The information in this website is published in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah. Every effort is made to not only find evidences in these two sources which verifies Islamic practice, but also to publish the references alongside the website's content.
This website was created by, and is written and administered in entirety by myself, an American revert to Islam. In expanding my knowledge about Islam over the years, I have found it to be quite challenging at times to obtain the resources one needs as a new Muslim, particularly being in a non-Muslim country and without a Muslim family and/or large Muslim community to rely on for knowledge. Because of this, I wanted to create a website which would not only educate new Muslims (and "old" ones, or others just plain interested!) about Islamic practice, but also head them off in the right directions for various resources in order to find what they are looking for. Hence, the goal of this website is to provide all the Essentials for New Muslims, as in its name!
