Ramadan Calendar and Spiritual Guide
Happy Ramadan 2017!
In Ramadan, Muslims typically spend much more time and efforts engaged in reading and memorizing Qur'an, as well as other fruitful and spiritually related activities.
NME's Ramadan Calendar and Organizer for 2017 is an excellent way for observant Muslims to read daily hadiths and organize their month of studies, goals and reflection. It would be ideal for printing in order to have easy access to it (Get all 5 pages here!), or you could just save to your desktop. A few years ago my friend gave me a calendar like it, and I truly enjoyed following it all month. This is just some simple daily ways to incorporate beneficial learning into your Ramadan. May Allah SWT bless and reward this sister for inspiring and encouraging others, Ameen!
The planner suggests Surat at-Takwir (The Overthrowing; which has 29 ayat/verses) as a surah to work on memorizing throughout the month; it is seen below translated into English with the corresponding Arabic and transliteration (how it is pronounced). If you already know this surah, some other good choices for you could be:
- Surah (Chapter) 76-- (with 30 ayat)
- Surah (Chapter) 84-- (with 25 ayat)
- Surah (Chapter) 89-- (with 30 ayat)
For "Iftaar time" on the planner, you could either write in the time to break your fast, what to make du'aa for when breaking the fast, or add in your plans such as iftaar hosting or invitations, etc.

<----I used this document as a sort of Table of Contents reference for the Qur'an, especially with organizing my kids to study. Useful to consult the chart for noting your personal progress and/or to scout out the next surah to memorize, as there is a handy column included which indicates the length of each surah (number of ayah).
