How to Pray

Do you need to learn how to pray? Prayer is the 2nd pillar in Islam and essential to a Muslim's faith. Muslims can learn how to pray using these simple, easy to follow, printable instructions which will take you step-by-step through the salah! Subhanallah! Also below I have posted some of the parts of the salah for you to listen to. Many people like to listen to a recording on order to learn the correct pronunciation of words, which is difficult to learn just reading from a text.

Surah Al Fatiha (audio right)

• This surah is recited at the beginning of each surah in formal prayer

At-Tahiyat (audio right)

• This portion of the prayer is always said silently so might be difficult to learn due to never hearing it spoken aloud in prayer.
  

• The 1st portion ends after you hear "Ash hadu an la ilaha ilallah, Wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasulallah." You say the 1st portion in salah after the second ruk'ah (except after fajr, ALL of it is repeated); the audio in entirety is repeated at the end of the final ruk'ah of the prayer offered.
